mousesports beat Liquid 16-13 on Dust2 in the second match of Group B at DreamHack Masters Malmö. Liquid who climbed up to #8 on our world rankings and who shockingly reached the semi-finals at MLG Columbus 2016 went up against MOUZ who made a group stage exit at the Major as they struggled to close off games. Despite Kenneth "koosta" Suen's entry-kill and a bomb plant, the CT-sided MOUZ secured the pistol round with the defuse. The American team bought early on the third round but it did not work out for them (3-0). What worked for them was a mixed buy as they picked up their first round and they went on to get the lead as koosta's AWP-play reigned supreme (4-3). Spencer "Hiko" Martin picked up a quad-kill and was almost able to make it an ace to clutch it for his team but Timo "Spiidi" Richter killed Hiko, tying at 5-5. The back-and-forth half ended with Liquid leading 8-7. The B-site rush by MOUZ gave them an advantage to kick off the half as they won the pistol and the anti-eco rounds (10-8). Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski got two opening kills in the first weapon round but failed to follow it up as MOUZ led 11-9. When the score was 13-9, Liquid called a timeout but MOUZ won the anti-eco to make it 14-9. MOUZ won a 2v4 to gain six match points but Liquid put on a fight. The American team won a 2v4 and then got their 12th round which triggered a MOUZ timeout (15-12). mouz closed it out 16-13. DreamHack Masters Malmö 2016Best of 1
